The 2nd booster dose starting April 5 in the Islands for people aged 80 and over and immunocompromised persons

Îles-de-la-Madeleine, March 29, 2022 – The CISSS des Îles will offer a second booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to people aged 80 and over and to immunocompromised people. The first clinics will be held on April 5^th and 6^th at the Centre récréatif de L’Étang-du-Nord. Additional clinics will be added to the calendar shortly, including in the East and in Bassin. The dates will be announced shortly.

Eligible individuals who have had their last dose of the COVID-19 vaccine for at least 3 months can make an appointment by calling 418 986-2121, ext. 8484 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday or by visiting www.clicsanté.ca.

Eligible individuals who have contracted COVID-19 must wait three months before making an appointment to receive their second booster dose.

Residents of long-term care facilities and seniors’ residences do not need to make an appointment as teams of vaccinators will visit each facility to provide this second booster dose to those who wish to receive it.
