Notice of cessation of practice in the Magdalen Islands – Dr Maxime Piché

Dr Maxime Piché is no longer practicing at the GMF des Îles since August 8. To get a family doctor again, you must consult the following link and register with the Guichet d’Accès à un Médecin de Famille (GAMF) at www.gamf.gouv.qc.ca.

A new family doctor is assigned to a person according to the following criteria: the date of registration; the severity and urgency of a person’s health condition and the availability of a new medical resource. This is a standardized process for the province. Laboratory requests initiated by Dr Piché, which will be taken over by Dr Joanie Hubert until a new family doctor can be assigned to patients. They will be contacted if lab results require a timely intervention.

To discuss any other test results, renew your medication or to complete a medical form, patients without a family doctor are invited to visit the CISSS des Îles’ emergency room.
