Basic hygienic practices: hand washing

Hands are the primary mode of transmission of organisms in health care establishments. Hand hygiene targets staff members and patients as well as volunteers and visitors.

Frequent hand washing is one of the most important basic practices used to prevent the spread of viruses, regardless of the infectious condition of patients. Antiseptic hand products at your disposal are well known for their efficiency and ease of use and promote the endorsement of hand hygiene recommendations.

Gastroenteritis

Hand washing is an easy and efficient way of reducing the transmission of germs and viruses. This practice is therefore very important as a means of limiting the spread of gastroenteritis.  If you exhibit any signs or symptoms of gastroenteritis (vomiting, diarrhea or other), avoid any contact with other people for at least 48 hours after the symptoms have stopped.
