COVID-19 local update

COVID-19 Status Update – March 29, 2022

Until the epidemiological situation stabilizes, here is information that we will publish on a regular basis for the Islands community. We hope that this information will allow everyone to make the necessary decisions to protect themselves, the most vulnerable and the health care workers:

As of March 29, in the Islands:

• Number of COVID absences at the CISSS: 51 (increasing) 
• Number of residential care facilities with outbreaks: 5 (stable)
• Number of COVID-related hospitalizations: 4 (up) 

CISSS does not report any service disruptions, but reorganization and prioritization of work is ongoing.

IMPORTANT I: If you experience symptoms similar to COVID-19 and still test negative on a rapid test, isolate yourself until your symptoms have resolved and protect vulnerable people around you.

In summary, it is important to remain cautious, especially for those at higher risk of developing complications, due to age or immunosuppression. Everyone must act responsibly, according to their situation.
